When looking to rescue a ragdoll kitten or cat, you can ask the shelter if the cat is a registered Ragdoll if you only want a purebred ragdoll cat breed.

Ragdoll cats are such beautiful cats that it can be a great pleasure in helping to rescue one of these gorgeous creatures. You do have to be aware of some pitfalls when going through a cat breeder to find a ragdoll cat for sale.

When thinking of getting into a ragdoll cat rescue effort, always go and see where this kitten or cat has grown up. Make sure it was a clean place and that it interacted gracefully with other cats and other humans. Don't be afraid to ask questions about the breed, and if the cat you're interested in is a purebred or not. The breeder or seller should be able to give you detailed information about a specific cat.

If it seems to you that you're not getting the full story from the seller, it's usually a priority to send these cats to a home even if it means cutting some corners... At this point, it is up to you to decide how important this information is to your adoption efforts.
