Many people think that there's just no way they'll be able to get through to their cats. I use to think that way... my cat Sammi is very intelligent but he'd never give me the time of day. That's what I thought at least. Communicating with an emotional cat like Sammi needs to be done more carefully.
Reasons you might want to train your pet cat:

I find that if you remember a few main things when you're starting to train your cat it will only get easier:

- Remember that you and your cat should be having fun.
Isla (our other precious cat) unlike Sammi, doesn't care at all what's going on around her. She will always position herself right in the middle of everything, and won't budge even if a train was coming her way! She is a very easy going cat. You can not hurt her feelings because she is just so full of love.. Now Isla is not the brightest cat in the world, but she does love treats.. and that's enough to move her.
You need to stimulate your cat the right way, and direct him/her into the correct behavior pattern you're looking for. This takes a bit of practice and persistence, but with the right instructions - it'll just be a matter of going for it.
